Klaas Westera, President of the CSIO, recently gave a presentation to the board of TIC wherein TIC members could pose specific questions as at status, integration with broker management systems and training support available for the CSIO Portal.  We have been pursuing the issue of proposed cost in relation to head count - to not include licensed individuals working on primarily commercial insurance.

TIC has been submitting the views of GTA Insurance brokers to the IBC as they move forward with the Ministry of Transportation Critical Coverage Reporting project.  The contemplated responsibilities (and related liabilities) of insurance brokers could be considerable.

TIC offers specific "members only" opportunities to network with the top decision makers of insurers who affect our mutual destiny.

The annual Presidents' dinner offered an intimate setting at the Toronto Club within which TIC Members interacted with the Canadian Presidents of key Property Casualty Insurance Companies.

The annual Black Tie dinner is in effect the "who's who" networking scene of GTA Property/Casualty Insurance.  Were you there on November 6th?

Idea Exchange

TIC offers an exchange of mutually beneficial information and ideas relevant to GTA brokers in a non-competitive arena.

Compliance with the Privacy Acts of Ontario and Canada is an issue of significant concern to today's broker.  TIC members have been exchanging information by email as to the effect of the Acts on our businesses and ideas as to how we can comply on a practical basis.

The TIC website ( is now up and running - offering a calendar of events, our suggested broker education path, insurance related links and links to organizations within which we advocate our members interests.
